Before participating in Fair Trade, most of the
artisans we work with were making less than a
dollar a day. Back then, a trip to the United
States would have been unheard of…but now it’s
a reality. A plane ticket facilitates artisans’
visits to educate Americans about the benefits
of Fair Trade and provide the artisan an
opportunity to travel outside of Peru.
