Partners for Just Trade recently began working in Nicaragua with the non-profit organization, Esperanza en Accion (Hope through Action) based in Managua. Esperanza en Accion provides Nicaraguan artisans with the tools to lift themselves out of poverty by offering technical assistance and quality consultation in addition to education and practice in calculating a fair wage. We are currently just working with the artisan group Ducuale Grande but hope to work with more Nicaraguan artisan groups in the future.
